He is known for treating pets with compassion and dignity while caring for their families with empathy, patience, and genuine understanding.

Dr. Bajwa graduated from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Driven by academic excellence and a desire to fully understand disease processes, he went on to complete a Master of Science in Veterinary Pathology. This advanced training strengthened his foundation in
diagnostics, critical thinking, and sound clinical
decision-making—skills that would later shape his approach as both a clinician and a mentor.

After several years of professional practice, Dr. Bajwa immigrated to Canada in 1993. Like many new immigrants, his early years were marked by significant struggle, including working in non-professional roles while rebuilding his career from the ground up. These formative experiences profoundly influenced his leadership philosophy, instilling humility, resilience, and empathy—qualities he now actively passes on to young veterinarians and internationally trained graduates navigating the early stages of their careers. Through determination and perseverance, he successfully completed his veterinary licensing board examinations at the University of Guelph, re-establishing himself as a practicing veterinarian in Canada.

Dr. Bajwa’s clinical approach and professional values were shaped through mentorship under two highly respected veterinarians: Dr. Geoff Toole at Beaches Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Sami Qureshi at Beattie

Animal Hospital in Brantford. Training in busy, high-volume practices sharpened his medical and surgical skills while teaching him the importance of calm leadership, ethical medicine, teamwork, and
practical problem-solving—principles he later emphasized in mentoring others.

A defining chapter of his career was his long tenure at Toronto Humane Society, one of Canada’s largest animal welfare organizations. Working alongside a diverse team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, Dr. Bajwa developed a strong appreciation for humane care, clear communication, and collaborative leadership. This experience
reinforced his belief that excellent veterinary medicine is built not only on clinical knowledge, but also on respect, mentorship, and shared responsibility.

Motivated to broaden his clinical and organizational perspective, Dr. Bajwa later worked with Banfield Pet Hospital in Virginia, USA. There, he gained valuable insight into large-scale veterinary systems,
standardized care models, and practice management—experience that strengthened his ability to lead teams efficiently while maintaining individualized, compassionate care.

Dr. Bajwa ultimately returned to what he proudly calls his final home—Toronto, Canada—where he purchased Pyne Hills Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Cynthia Post. Under his leadership, the hospital evolved into a trusted, community-focused practice known for accessibility, transparency, and ethical medicine. A few years later, he formed a partnership with Dr. Tashfeen Abbasi, whose exceptional surgical
expertise and shared commitment to mentorship further elevated both clinical standards and professional development within the team.

Together, Dr. Bajwa and Dr. Abbasi embraced mentorship as a moral and professional responsibility. Over the years, they guided numerous new graduates and internationally trained veterinarians, emphasizing confidence-building, ethical judgment, hands-on learning, and
independent clinical decision-making. This mentorship philosophy led to the successful establishment and development of four additional
veterinary hospitals—King Road Animal Hospital (Richmond Hill), Leslie Davis Animal Hospital (Newmarket), Animal Hospital of Aurora (Aurora),
and Bloor Dundas Animal Hospital (Toronto)—each nurtured under their guidance and later transitioned to capable partner veterinarians.

Recognizing that effective leadership sometimes means knowing when to focus rather than expand, Dr. Bajwa and Dr. Abbasi eventually chose to
concentrate exclusively on Pyne Hills Veterinary Hospital. Under this focused leadership, the practice has grown more than four-fold, earning exceptional client trust through affordability, open communication, and a genuinely down-to-earth approach to care.

Dr. Bajwa often says he plans to retire only as long as he can continue to work—reflecting his enduring passion for veterinary medicine and his belief that experience carries a responsibility to teach, guide, and support the next generation.

He has been happily married since 1993 and draws sustained strength and motivation from his wife, whom he considers the backbone of his success and a guiding force in every step of his life. He regards his
greatest blessing to be his triplets—two sons and one daughter. His 90-year-old parents (Masha’Allah) continue to inspire him daily with their wisdom, blessings, strength, and values. At home, he enjoys the companionship of his beloved family cat, Layla.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Bajwa’s interests include politics, medical history, biographies of scholars, health, nutrition, and fitness—interests that reflect his disciplined mindset, intellectual curiosity, and lifelong commitment to growth, learning,
and leadership.

Dr. Naeem Bajwa is a highly respected veterinarian whose professional journey reflects perseverance, lifelong learning, principled leadership, and a deep commitment to the human–animal bond.
